TIPS FOR BUYING A TENT: If you're wondering what size of tent you need, then take into account that a tent's 'berth' (also known as 'man', or 'person') is based on how many people it can sleep side by side in the sleeping area, this figure does not take into account all your camping equipment and luggage, so when choosing a tent, always look to go for a higher berth than the number of people camping. This will give you the space you need and make sure your holiday won't be too cramped.
